Thanks to Bob Brown acting as RD in my stead, as I was travelling.

Bob reported a beautiful day with a small fleet.  Each one had a win under their belt.  Barney carried the day, followed by Larry and Roger (who went home happy for a win in the last race)  Phil

Seven skippers arrived on a beautiful morning with a fluky, light and frustrating wind from the South. Skill in taking advantage of wind shifts and avoiding holes gave Allen Strout the Blue Ribbon, beating Rich by a point. Barney was steady and took third. The rest are still mumbling.

These are the last scored races of the spring season, with DF95’s and DF65’s yet to compete in May. DF95’s race next Saturday.

A perfect day with winds from the SE greeted the sailors this morning. Windward tacking duels and confused clusters at the windward mark didn’t impede great sailing. Bob Brown, Jr., overcame the fleet with great windward sailing and took first. Allen Strout was on his heels with a second place, and Barney in third. I had lots of helpers today and thanks to Carl, Bob Brown, Robert Brown, Sr..  That was the last outing for this class for the summer, leaving lots of time to sharpen skills & just have fun!          Phil

Another rotten day in paradise with puffy clouds, sunshine and a light wind from the South.
Five sailors tackled a long triangular course set by the Fleet Captain, Bob Brown.
The Commodore read the windward sailing well, and prevailed in the first 6 races. Barney was chasing and beat Bob Brown for second place by a point.
That’s the end of the spring series, but the die-hards will be sailing throughout the summer so bring what floats and have some fun.
